A Mountain Yarn Retreat at Roamstead
Come spend a few days with us in the Smoky Mountains at Roamstead. We’ll have plenty of time to sit and learn together, work on our projects, visit, laugh, and just enjoy being away for a bit. Just good company, cozy cabins, mountain views, and time to do what we all love. Bring whatever you’re working on, settle in, and enjoy a relaxed weekend with friends.

Lasting Experience, One Stitch At a Time
Yarn School for Knitting and Design
Explore how fiber, twist, and yarn choice affect gauge, texture, and your finished knitting. Practice with different yarns and compare swatches to make more confident yarn selections and substitutions.
Lace Classes
Learn the foundations of lace knitting, including common motifs, yarns, tools, and techniques. Work through a lace sampler using a provided pattern to practice different motifs and build your skills.
Sweater Workshop
Learn how body measurements, gauge, and yarn choice help you plan a sweater that fits. Explore pattern sizing, shaping techniques, and practical tips for working through your sweater project with confidence.

More Than Just Yarn’n
Loopville has always been about more than what we make. It’s about the people we’ve met, the friendships we’ve made, and the community that has grown around something we all enjoy.
We wanted to plan a weekend where we could get away from the normal routine, spend some real time together, work on our projects, learn something new, laugh, relax, and get to know each other a little better.
There doesn’t need to be a packed schedule or something happening every minute. The plan is simple: head to the mountains, bring our yarn, enjoy Roamstead, and spend a few days together.
